Indus Valley is a family-run wholesale furniture business based in Nottingham, designing in the UK and manufacturing in our own factories in Jaipur, India.
We began trading in 1998 out of two empty retail spaces, using them as storage for the first ranges we brought into the UK. Demand grew quickly, and so did we — from a 7,000 square foot warehouse, to 20,000, and now 38,000 square feet in Nottingham.
In 2002 we opened our first factory in Jaipur, followed by a second the year after. Owning production means we control the timber we buy, the joinery we insist on and the finish that leaves the bench. It is the reason our ranges land consistently, season after season.
Today we supply leading independent retailers and high street names across the UK with solid wood, reclaimed and contemporary furniture — dining, cabinet and upholstered seating, designed to merchandise as complete collections.

The story begins
We started trading out of two empty retail spaces, using these as storage for product.
More space needed
Our operations moved into a 7,000sqft warehouse, allowing us to expand and grow.
Even more space
Rapid expansion took us to 20,000sqft of warehousing and our new home in Beeston.
A new factory
We opened a factory in Jaipur, India, bringing quality control closer to production.
Second factory
A second Jaipur factory followed, growing our high quality product offering.
Leather is back
Our leather dining chairs launched, adding more options for our customers.
We're back
Indus Valley relaunched with a 25,000sqft warehouse and a revolutionised product line.
Square footage is key
We added a further 13,000sqft and continued to increase production and sales.
